Elephant Conservation Volunteer Program in Sri Lanka

Join the Safest Elephant Conservation Volunteer Program in Sri Lanka for Just $300/Week (The Lowest in the Market)

Sri Lanka, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, is surrounded by the ocean on all sides and is home to some of the sweetest elephants. Who doesn't love elephants? They’re like giant babies that need attention and care, just like humans or pets. Cross Road offers you the chance to get to know these gentle giants and care for them by joining our elephant conservation volunteer program.

We work directly with Sri Lankan animal rescue organizations dedicated to protecting the endangered elephant population. Many of these elephants have been rescued from cruel and abusive situations in the labour-intensive logging industry or the demanding tourism sector. Our mission is to provide these gentle giants with a safe and secure environment where they can thrive. Unfortunately, many of these organizations lack essential financial and human resources, are severely underfunded, and face numerous challenges that hinder their ability to effectively manage their conservation programs.

The Sri Lankan elephant conservation program urgently needs volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks. Depending on the needs of the local staff, volunteers will be paired with a mahout (an elephant handler) and will help with various duties, including caring for baby elephants, who are adorable and safe to be around.
