Monk Teaching Volunteering Program in India

Teach Monks in India: A Unique Volunteering Experience

Join our Monk Teaching Volunteering Program and help Buddhist monks improve their English and basic math skills. This program offers a rare opportunity to contribute to the education of monks, who often have limited access to formal education, especially in remote monasteries.

As a volunteer, your main duties will include teaching spoken and written English as well as basic math. Your students may range from young novice monks to adults, all eager to learn. No formal teaching experience is required, just a passion for education and a willingness to share your knowledge.

This program not only allows you to make a direct impact on their learning but also provides you with a deep cultural experience. You’ll get to live within the monastery, experience daily life with the monks, and gain insight into Buddhist teachings and practices.

This is more than just a teaching role—it’s a chance to immerse yourself in a peaceful environment, contribute to the spiritual community, and grow personally.
